Application for Tour Guide Card - Target group, definition and qualifications
Target group
Those intending to be tour guides holding professional diplomas issued by Institute for Tourism Studies.
Definition of tour guide
Tour guide is a professional who welcomes, informs and escorts tourists in Macau, against remuneration.
Qualifications
The exercise of the profession of tour guide depends upon:
1.
Residence in Macau; and
2.
Approval in a qualifying course offered by IFT; or
3.
Approval in a diploma or bachelor degree course in the field of tourism offered by IFT or by other Macau higher education institution or obtained in a higher education institution outside Macau if accepted by IFT (those who meet this requirement and possess approved qualification must take refreshment seminar on tourism, culture and economy supervised by the IFT and pass relevant examinations);

Registered with MGTO and issuance of a tour guide card;
